  • Choose SeedVR2 3B for faster enhancement or SeedVR2 7B for stronger detail.
  • Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP source images for enhancement.
  • Useful for generated images, portraits, products, anime art, and documents.
  • Prepare better source images for publishing, galleries, and prompt testing.

3B or 7B: how to choose

SeedVR2 3B is the quicker and cheaper option (2 credits) and is a good fit for previews, thumbnails and images that are already clean. SeedVR2 7B (4 credits, the default) is the heavier model and is the better choice for faces, fabric and fine texture where the 3B result looks too smooth. Our side-by-side tests of both models, including where each one fails, are written up in the Articles section.

If you are unsure, run the 3B first on a small crop. Only spend the extra credits on 7B when the 3B result is not good enough.

What the tool does and its limits

Every job upscales the image by 2x. You can upload an image file of up to 8 MB; JPG, PNG and WebP are supported. The upscaler adds plausible detail, so it can change small things such as skin texture, hair strands or fine patterns. It cannot recover information that was never in the photo, and heavily compressed or tiny sources will still look soft.

Check faces, hands and any text at 100% zoom before publishing. If a result looks over-sharpened or waxy, try the other model rather than running the same one again.

Credits and privacy

Each upscale reserves credits when it is queued (2 for 3B, 4 for 7B) and refunds them if the job fails. See the Privacy page for how uploaded images are handled.
